The expert system of spirometer MAS-1 presents to the attention of patient animated test - “living” picture, which reacts to the respiratory efforts of patient.
It is preferable for the children of the young age with the descriptive thinking, insufficient who understand the instructions of medical staff for the accomplishment of respiratory maneuvers. Besides the instructing: “Visualize the holiday cake, on which there are many lighted candles. Collect a little more air and breathe out strongly. Try to blow out a little more candles…”,--
You simply propose to child to look at the screen (monitor) of spirometer and to produce expiration so as to blow out a maximum quantity of candles. The more the candles “blew out” patient, the more reliable the data of the carried out tests will be, and the result of the accomplishment of maneuver will be intuitively intelligible to child.
The experience of the use of an animated test in the expert system of spirometer MAS-1 not only confirmed its effectiveness with the work with the children, but also opened the new possibilities of fulfilling the spirometry for the people with the limited by hearing, being sometimes the only possible method of fulfilling the study FER in such patients.
Animated test proved to be also very effective with conducting of mass screening studies of FER, including of the professional examination…
